In-Vehicle Networks

EUROAMERICA provides a large range of testing systems and equipment for testing invehicle networks, ideal for body electronics, connected vehicle, ECU functionality, ADAS and Autonomous Driving Systems, lighting, infotainment and much more.

Automotive Ethernet
EUROAMERICA Supplys tools for the testing of Automotive ethernet networks along with tools to support the development of vehicle network Architecture. Through our partner Technica Engineering, we supply a host of tools such as capture modules, media converters, and switches, along with custom made test stands.

OEMs are looking to Ethernet technologies to provide a single, flexible, scalable, more cost-effective in-vehicle networking architecture.

Media Converters
Media Converters are available in different form factors for different applications (MATEnet, H-MTD, EMC, RJ-45, USB-LAN). All of the MediaConverters that we supply provide direct point-to-point conversion. EUROAMERICA supply Technica Engineering media converters which provide a bi-directional communication, as they can be switched to half or full-duplex mode.
Our portfolio covers chipsets from established vendors like Broadcom, NXP, and Marvell, providing the user with adaptable and flexible devices for their test systems.
Through Technica’ s SFP Modules, the user can convert 100BASE-T1 or 1000BASE-T1 to SGMII. With the combination of our products MediaGateway or the Enhanced Ethernet Switch, the user will have an extra Automotive Ethernet port (100 or 1000Base-T1) in an Automotive-grade switch.

Capture Modules
Technica Engineering’s Capture Modules are designed to solve the challenge of lost messages in the logging system, which might occur due to a lack of performance, slow startup time or other reasons. Further, the Capture Modules introduce time synchronization according to 802.1AS. The main use case of our Capture Modules is that messages from a variety of bus topologies are captured, timestamped (the same timestamp across different bus systems) and sent forward to a data logger or test PC. The logging device receives one stream of data which is load balanced by traffic shaping and hence has no bursts in the data transmission that might lead to a loss of information. The fast startup time and startup buffer are helpful to capture all traffic directly at the startup of your ECUs.
Our Capture Modules offer a modular and scalable system, capturing all the relevant In-Vehicle-Traffic with a reliable and precise time stamp. Using time aware injection, the traffic is captured without causing interference on the network and is delivered with a 40 ns resolution hardware time stamp, making the analysis of AVB/ TSN traffic possible.

GMSL 2/3 Technology & SerDes

Through our partner Technica Engineering, we can provide a logging device for the GMSL 2/3 technology, the SerDes Capture module. It is used to capture and timestamp SerDes communication, which is needed to log the communication data of modern camera systems (sensors and/or ECUs).
With the Capture Module SerDes, you can capture up to 4x GMSL2/3 sensor data stream point-to-point connections without influencing the network itself. Sensor data (GMSL forward link) is forwarded from the sensor (connected to the CM deserializer port) to an ECU (connected to the CM serializer port). At the same time, the data is being captured and sent to a logging port packetized in Ethernet frames using the PLP/TECMP protocol.

Test Benches and HIL Systems
-
Component test bench for timesync tests is a bench for testing, if time synchronization (gPTP) within the Ethernet network of a car is working correctly. It contains a Linux-based test suite with different test cases on the component level.
-
Customized Test Benches are highly scalable test systems using the combination of our dedicated hardware components and software frameworks, like the ANDi (Automotive Network Diagnoser) tool.
-
The Ethernet Network Test Bench by Technica Engineering is a hardware test bench to validate the overall Ethernet communication between ECUs on a system test level. Focusing on different phases of the communication (lifecycle), its main objectives are to control the quality of the protocols implemented in the ECUs and detect errors in the tracked communication. The Ethernet Network Tester can be used to test the SOME/IP and SOME/IP-SD protocols, but also for diagnostics tests, UDP-NM tests, switch tests.
-
Body Electronic Test System (BTS) allows the user to develop and test complex, central ECUs efficiently and highly reliable. Our BTS test bench includes twelve channels for the simulation of hardware inputs and outputs while additionally including Automotive Ethernet, CAN, LIN and FlexRay bus topologies.
